The more that we fall,
the better for us, the better for us.
And when we’re apart,
The better we are, the better we are.
Blooming like the springtime,
rather keep his eyes dry but I,
but I (no I), don’t mind, don’t mind.
Tell me that it feels nice,
barely broken inside,
no I, no I, no I (don’t mind), don’t mind.
Want my baby dumb fast, dumbfounded!
I’m under you!
Want my baby dumb fast, dumbfounded!
I’m under you!
Say you care!
Say you care!
Say you care!
Say you care!
And in the morning when we wake up?
Cotton linens and the remnants of that makeup,
Wrestle in them sheets like it’s a fight club,
Had to tie it up ‘cause you ‘gon act up.
Never really had the time to ever really change my mind.
I’m losing track of time.
Want my baby dumb fast, dumbfounded!
I’m under you!
Want my baby dumb fast, dumbfounded!
I’m under you!
Say you care!
Say you care!
Say you care!
Say you care!

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
Just a beautiful jazzy rap album with buttery smooth flows versed with huge talent. It's not only lovely to the ears, but the lyrics are profound and empowering about the struggles that she faces. zhangtastic
